I was out fishing on 8-9-09 and was flipping a jig on a weed line and felt a good thunk. I set the hook got 2 good head shakes and my 50lb braid got cut like nothing. I knew it was a muskie then and I seen it so I picked up a swimjig same thing with the 30lb braid. Now I only had 1 rod out that still had something tied on. I picked up my spinnerbait with 15 mono and figured I could kiss it good bye. I threw it out there and she slamed it. I set the hook but noticed the bait was just in the edge of her lip. She took me down and started turning the boat right before digging into the weeds. I tried to finnese her out but couldn't over do it with the mono. Finally I got her out after what seemed like 10 mins. When I got her turned and coming twards me I grabbed the net and got it ready. When she was 8' away I dipped the net and lifted her head as good as I could. Then the spinnerbait came out shooting into the net. I scooped as good as I could and lifted her into the boat as fast as I as possible. I was able to get a lil video clip of her. I esstimated her at 46''-48''.
